* 1 quart currants
* 2 cup water
* 1 cup Savannah Bee Company Tupelo Honey
* 1 small stick of cinnamon
* 5 oranges, juiced
* 3 lemons, juiced
* water for simmering
Wash currants; reserve 1/4 cup for garnishing. Place remainder in a saucepan and cover with water. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Strain. If a clear juice is desired, do not press the pulp.
Combine the 2 cups water,Savannah Bee Company Tupelo Honey , and cinnamon stick and boil for 5 minutes to make a syrup. Remove the spice stick.
Combine the juice of the oranges, lemons, and currant juice with the spiced syrup. Dilute to taste. Fresh pineapple or cranberry juice maybe be used instead of orange and lemon juice. Serve hot or cold.
